We have achieved SOUP!
Dr. L came by in a very santa claus-ish mood. He gave permission for a little soup. Ev said "it tastes so good!" The only un-santa claus-ish thing he said was that the scans showed a small stable fracture in the bony process of L2. So surgery is going to be scheduled as soon as she is able.

A stable fracture? Is there a risk of them having to fuse her back?
Yes. She will need to fuse L1 & L2 to make a stable enough platform for the ligament to heal. She should have pretty much full mobility after she heals.
