Quick update from Dad. Hopefully more later. Big doctor confab on how best to proceed with ventilator. Couple of more rounds of cat-scans. The main issue is that they've never seen such a big hole in someone's diaphragm and there are some well-intentioned and passionate turf wars brewing over the issue. There is just very little precedent in the medical literature to follow. I must emphasize, however, that the trauma and ICU staff here have been nothing less than spectacular. We could have lost her several times. Thank you to all the well-wishers out there.
